When the best you can do to address a plea for a moral defence of eating meat was to say in equovocal terms that you reject moral standards, I can't see you addressing much more than an envelope.

Growing up on a ranch merely makes you hardened against animals because you are used to the ambiguous treatment of them as mainly objects. If you had grown up on a human animal farm, you may just as easily have been hardened against them as well. (This is a bit like what happened to German soldiers forced to work at concentration camps.)

You reflect your training.

When you've dealt reasonably with Jeffrey Dahmer, you can then talk reasonably about your gratification. <edited to delete inflammatory insult>
