Pangloss,

DDW would like you to produce a like to that post where Socrates posted a link to your website.

Last time I checked, has it ever been "absolutely necessary" to resort to name calling to win a debate? I may be wrong, but Einstein's relativity was accepted as fact when he called Oppenheimer a "Doo Doo head".

Dee Dee didn't like my analogy of YEC and Holocaust denial. To be honest, I think the parallel is rather good, its just YEC'ers don't like to have their science motives interact with their history motives. Socrates will be the end of that site.

I don't know if this has anything to do with undeserved censorship, but this thread at TW titled 'Why are there no female "creation scientists"?' was edited away with a note that Elvis Rehnquist, the topic starter, was immediately suspended.

Anyone catch what that was all about? The title sounds innocent enough, but this is the heaviest act of moderation I've seen there so far, so I'm kind of curious.

I'm curious too, considering that it was stated earlier that TW doesn't ban.

I PMed Elvis Rehnquist -- who is a great poster, BTW. He'd be perfect over here.

It was a short post, about a few sentences that mentioned one female creationist and concluded that perhaps "women were too smart" to be creationists.

It is, tongue in cheek, an excellent insight. One of things that one hears and says "How come I never saw that?"

I wonder, was it censored because it was somewhat of a jibe or was it because they felt that women couldn't be "that smart".

I just saw this post by Joe Meert at Tweb. I figured I might as well copy and paste it here before a mod over there censors it:

From this thread.

Quote:
Socrates is so fideistically naive. What does name calling accomplish here? You've made several accusations, I'd love to see you support these with evidence. Socrates is an egotistical bastard. See, two can play the insult game? Heck, even the weakest of the Christian insulters, Jon Sarafati has hurled more invectives at me than you. If a fideist such as Sarafati can insult me, surely someone as lame as you can go one better.
Edit: Got it just in time! A minute after I posted this, FiveSolas came along, censored Joe's remarks, and gave him a warning.
