Default Kasky v. Nike/Bush

If these allegations are true, how can Bush defend Nike?? From this site. http://www.corpwatch.org/issues/PID.jsp?articleid=3448

Quote:
(a) claims that workers who make NIKE products are protected from and not subjected to corporal punishment and/or sexual abuse;

(b) claims that NIKE products are made in accordance with applicable governmental laws and regulations governing wages and hours;

(c) claims that NIKE products are made in accordance with applicable laws and regulations governing health and safety conditions;

(d) claims that NIKE pays average line-workers double-the-minimum wage in Southeast Asia;

(e) claims that workers who produce NIKE products receive free meals and health care;

(f) claims that the GoodWorks International (Andrew Young) report proves that NIKE is doing a good job and "operating morally"; and

(g) claims that NIKE guarantees a "living wage" for all workers who make NIKE products.
I'd like, just once, to see or hear Bush do or say something that's not assinine. If Kasky wins in the supreme court, Bush will look silly. Do you think Dubya knows in advance what his buddies in the supreme court will decide? Does Kasky have a chance?

Pardon my ignorance, but what does this complaint have to do with either Bush or the Supreme Court?

The supreme court is to review California Supreme Court's 4-3 decision to go ahead with the trial. Following California's decision, Nike brought the case to the U.S. Supreme Court whether to throw the case out.

Bush is saying the ruling in favor of Kasky is a violation of companies' free speech rights. ACLU and organized labor are also complaining about Kasky's suit. Here's what Bush's top Supreme Court lawyer said recently.
Quote:
Nike got help Wednesday from the Bush administration's top Supreme Court lawyer. Solicitor General Theodore Olson told the justices that a California court gave the California critic, Marc Kasky, too much authority to go after Nike in court.
Kasky has organizations, such as Sierra Club, on his side, too.
But it seems bizarre to me that so many entities are opposing an effort to keep corporations subordinate to democracy, and taking power away from the people of this country.

Bush seems awfully sure of his Supreme Court's verdict, or else he wouldn't have said anything for risk of losing face. Any thoughts?
