Post So, what are you guys thoughts on faith healers?

I know they are fake and a fraud. But, I am just curious as to know if the people they use are faking their injuries, or what? I just can't see any other way. What do you think?

I don't think all of those "healed" are faking it. When one gets themselves worked up through music and prayer and such, their brain creates endorphins (natural pain killers)...some people are also able to hypnotize themselves. I am sure you have heard stories of people displaying incredible strenght in an mergency situation (mother lifting a car off her kid type stories).

If you watch carefully, most of the "healed" have vaugue pains and hearing loss etc...nobody goes up there with a visible tumor or missing limb. I think these people want so badly to be healed they make it happen (at least temporarily) psychosamatically.

Con artists can and will use any means at their disposal to take advantage of their marks. To me, it is irrelevant precisely how they are performing their illusions, it is enough to know that they are totally unwilling to have their claims tested.
