Such as "people could kill a T-Rex by tearing it's arms off"?

Wow! Atleast the baby dino's could make just a tiny bit of sense. Ripping the arms off of a T-rex would be a bit tougher than said. Kinda like removing the horn off a rhino's nose!

It's an actual claim that's been made. Guess who!

A T-rex's arms didn't do anything. They were essentially functionless, except for the odd instance of being able to help tear apart something that was already dead. That's like saying a human with no appendix wouldn't be able to function properly.

And yes, church as theater is becoming more popular. The "Sight and Sound" theaters in Lancaster, PA are the biggest tourist attraction in the country, far and above any of the cute little (fake) Amish/Old-Order Mennonite farms and restaurants. They stage Bible stories--Daniel, Abraham, Noah, Easter, Xmas, etc.--as newly-written muscials. I've never personally seen anything cheesier, and I've eaten a lot of cheddar in my lifetime. (The thing that really gets me is going in with a bit of an ethnomusicology background and listening to 19th-century British folk melodies a la "Greensleeves" being sung by people who are supposed to be residents of the Fertile Crescent area 3000 years ago...yikes. I guess if you think the world is 6000 years old, you can convince yourself that most other things are logical, too.)

Reminds me of The Far Side cartoon, with the T-rex's at the dinner table. One of them asks to pass the salt.

I guess if you took off their arms, then you could put a muzzle on his snout. [/B][/QUOTE]

I just purchased a ticket, and I made sure it was "above the water line."
Anyone else going?

More info on the nature of the production:

Quote:
The True Story of NOAH'S ARK is a HUGE 5-SCREEN (100 ft.) Multi-Media and live performance by Tom Dooley. The production portrays the biblical account of The Great Flood with fictional drama added that maintains the spirit of the original story. Written by Dooley this is the culmination of a 5-year vision. It has been in production for almost two years. Dooley's vision caused a new technology to be invented that allows motion video to be synchronized across 5 screens. A patent is being applied for. Bill Looney, renowned Dallas illustrator teams up with Dooley once again to create the images. His artwork is nothing short of stunning. The sequence that took the longest to create and produce is where the audience is treated to a jaw-dropping animated image of the inside of The Ark complete with the sounds of thousands of animals. It gives a whole new meaning to the term, size does matter...
So there you have it: a fictionalized drama that maintains the spirit of a 100% true story. And of course there's "Dr." Baugh, a 100% huckster introducing the proceedings with a fictionalized account of science. And who says you can't learn anything new in church?
