In my experience you cannot say anything globally about a fundamentalist’s brain. They (like everyone) seem to have the ability to compartmentalize things.
For instance, I know lots of engineers that have no problems being very practical minded and rational. However, if you get them into specific subject areas, they have wildly irrational views. Just some areas of their (and everyone’s) thoughts are off limits to rational inquiry. It is fun to find your own areas that are off limits! |
