Would it make them happier if we also stamped "Holy Crap!" on the rolls of Charmin?

These news reports made it sound like 'under god' were the only words not included but if you go to the Dr Pepper/7up website and look at the can you see that only three words out of the whole pledge were used anyway--One Nation Indivisible. I decided to add my 2 cents and send this letter to Dr Pepper:

"I would like to add my voice to those expressing appreciation for your inclusive Statue of Liberty can design. There are those who would have this country be only for themselves and those who believe as they do. There are those who would divide us along religious lines. We who value our freedom must stand up against such efforts and declare that the United States of America is “One Nation Indivisible” as it originally was and should be again.
Thank you. Please don’t give in to the current intolerant atmosphere this country is experiencing."

If an atheist can get a positive and non-patronizing write up like that in a Hawaiian newspaper, then there is hope yet.

{edit: spelling}

Nice write-up and the Hawaiian Islands are fairly close to idyllic, but didn't they just go to the trouble of amending the state constitution just so as to avoid allowing domestic partnerships? Hm...we'd need to do some amending ourselves.

Yuck.
Well you have to expect a bunch of backwood bible thumpin Baptists from Texas to be all pissed off about it. My baptist brother-in-law used to be the Curator at the Dr. Pepper Museum somewhere near Wacko, Texas. His daddy is a bigtime pastor in Texas, and so was his daddy's daddy, and so on. They must all be in a tizzy over this.

I knew there had to be a bigger reason why I love Dr. Pepper .

Umm... HELL NO.

Even if we can't have separation of church and state, I WILL have separation of the church from my bare ass!

From I gathered so far, the statue of liberty (which represent Freedom in USA) no longer holds any significant meaning as most of the people (americans) are held constraint by their belief in christinity to such an extend that most of them could no longer reason properly.

I don't know, maybe you'd enjoy wiping something holy on your ass. It won't leave any ambiguity about how you feel about them.
