You missed the question that most struggle with every day. "WHERE SHOULD WE GO FOR LUNCH?"

I admit to having spent considerable time in trying to answer many of the same questions the OP asks. So far, I've only come to one conclusion: wishful thinking is not one of them.

Other than that, I have none. And I strongly suspect that holds true across the board.

Meantime, I'm here, why not just make the best out it whichever way I happen to define that "best" to be? It's all I've got.

What makes balisongsong think his questions are even valid, let alone that he has an answer to them?

A simple question I've been asking for a couple of decades now but never had answered with anything that doesn't simply provoke more answers is: "Why do you assume your life has meaning, anyway?"

Oh, and WHAT CAN WE KNOW? That's a good question, really. I don't know the answer, but for some reason, I have no problem going through my life anyway. I have apparently settled on KNOWING what brings me and others pain, and I avoid those things. That's my starting point. What's yours?

Isn't it ironic (don't you think?) that those who believe in fairy tales ask those of us who at least have a logical and sensual basis for our knowledge questions like WHAT CAN WE KNOW?
