A committee studying this issue voted on a motion today for the government to not appeal the descision.

The vote was 9-8. The chair of the committee made the tie breaking vote.

Still ultimatly up to the Justice Minister though.

Just something my ancestors were fond of.

Couples would make a jump over a small bonfire while holding hands; the object was to symbolise the attachment.

The bonfire was fairly small since another aim was not to get burnt. No fun in getting burnt.
Lots of drumming and lots and lots of mead consumption were standard accompaniments.

What would happen if we put all the homosexual men on one island, and all the homosexual women on the other? Anyone want to bet they'd last more than one generation?

To be completely honest, homosexuality is just as much a disorder as bipolar, schizophrenia etc. No one can prove it's natural human behavior because it's not. Take the example above. Any taker's they'd last more than one generation?

I can't believe society would acknowlege cigarette smoking as a problem but not homosexuality! Mental health is just as important as lung health and we should be doing as much as we can to help others.

Since when is proof of a disorder gained by putting groups on islands to see if they survive? I would not survive long on an island myself, so my lack of outdoor survival skills must be a dreaded disorder!!!

I'm glad you're being honest with us about your opinion. Keep in mind it's just yours. Can you prove that it isn't natural human behavior? Who died and made you the guy that knows what's natural for human behavior and what's not?

Conditions like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder are considered disorders because they negatively affect your life. Homosexuality does not negatively affect your life.

Now heterosexuality, on the other hand... .
