So you're saying that he already knew adam and eve were going to fail the test that destined billions to die, including gods own agent on earth? That seems kind of odd don't you think? I mean, personally, if I was god and knew all the crap that was about to come down from my 7P mistake(Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance) I would have gone back to the drawing board and did a total redesign. Why damn billions of people to suffering and death when you can just design a new superior bumper, thereby eliminating any future recalls(cheezy analogy enclosed).

Christian explains: A) “Blood = life. In certain situations (such as certain temple sacrifices) the blood is ‘holy.’”
And B): “Anything less than perfect was not allowed anywhere near the tabernacle. No animals or people with any blemish or deformity was allowed in the tabernacle. If you had 6 fingers, then you were not allowed to come so near the place where God dwelled among the people.”

So, in the matter of A), I wonder if Christian considers blood still to be holy? If God told the early Israelites it was, why should anything have changed? Has God changed his mind? Does Christian only eat kosher meat?

As for B), Christian emphasises that this was symbolic. But how symbolic would it have been for the individual who happened to have a deformity? We’re talking serious discrimination here, and consider, for a moment, the message it gives out to the general community about deformity.
Being handicapped in a modern Western society with humanitarian pretensions is bad enough; imagine what it would be like in a community where to be deformed is to be banished by god?

That’s just horrible.

Or, even if you don't think God could possibly have come up with a better design ("god can't") I think he could have at least improved his timing...

Say,

Adam and Eve fall - as designed.
Eve gives birth to Abel, Cain and Jesus.
Cain kills Jesus.

Atonement complete.
No need for all of the babies and toddlers to drown to death in Noah's flood.

All of the rest of the products of conception of all currently living humans (Adam, Eve, Cain Abel and the mysterious vessels who bore their children) die of miscarriages (as God currently does so well to over 1/3 of fetuses...) and go straightaway to Heaven, where God has implented the Upgrade to a sinless body.

...............

Why wait through so much suffering? That's always confused me. Stipulating that all the steps are necessary, why wait so long to implement each one?

The proof of the viability (if you'll pardon the pun) of this concept lies in the _factual existence_ of thousands of spontaneously aborted fetuses every day.

Clearly God has a path for souls to immediately go to heaven. It seems rather barbaric not to implement this plan in the microseconds following Adam & Eve's designed fall.

Now see! How damn hard was it to come up with a better solution, and from a simple human at that! Throw me a freaking bone here[dr. evil rant]:notworthy
