I am aware of its usage in that context.

The article I was discussing defined the term differently and I thought it best to discuss the article using the terminology of the article being discussed, however overloaded that terminology might be. I suggest you read the article I was discussing (it was linked to at the top of my post) if you wish to understand my usage of the term in this thread. (And if you wish to understand my post )
