No. These groups are general organizations. They are not solely charities.

DC -they have affiliatons with charity and 'cause' foundations. Check deeper at their sites. I'll give you the links if you want. But their charities aren't really to help people with critical needs, which I guess is what I and another were envisioning.

Gilly and Never- did you see the Earthward link? They alledgedly (I haven't checked em out) help victims of religion.

I checked out the other links, and one is in a foreign language. the other 2 seem like they wouldn't appeal to American atheists. I'd still like to find one (not just secular, but as I said, which advertises the fact it is atheist supported) or create a clearing house as was suggested.

Still awaiting info on yours DC. One question tho, what prompted you to start one? I find, in general, there are too many competing foundations and charities as it is (tho maybe not atheist, obviously).

I'll try to do more research on any existing and if anyone has more links to any they find, please post.

Thanks

Thanks Blue nose. I found the thread and I emailed him thru his profile here, so will see if I get a reply. Am kind of suspicious since he didn't keep contact here.

Also, haven't had any luck finding other atheist charities, so will await digital chickens' info . If that doesn't work out maybe start a distribution one like was suggested.

We are still working on it. Have patience. It may take a month.

We want to position ourselves for the long haul so we are trying to start out through the gate carefully.
