Entirely and gratuitously off-topic, but...

There's a wonderful explanation for this phenomenon in Steven Pinker's Words & Rules. I won't go into detail now, but I'd be happy to summarize if you ever find yourself caring.

That would be Man City, seeing as that's whom he plays for these days.

And Satan supports Belgium.

Carlton. Must be- nobody's won more premierships(nobody mention that other club that's level!) in VFL/AFL history. If there was a god, it'd have to support the old dark navy blues.

Yeah, there's a slight amount of bias here...

Satan's team- Collingwood. A club that's been around for so long, and won so few(and so far apart) premierships, and still develops such a huge cult following has to be the work of satan!

SENOR

As the winningest franchise in professional sports, I'd say the Yankees must be favored by god (the movie Damn Yankees aside). Let's look at the facts: 100 seasons, 26 World Championships, 38 Division wins. So statistically speaking, they get to the playoffs better than 1 of every 3 seasons, and win the whole darn thing 1 of 4!

God must really hate: MLB - Detroit Tigers (on pace to win a whopping 40 games this season!
- Tampa Bay Devil Rays (multiple 100+ games losing seasons)

I've seen a bumper sticker that says:

God must be a (denver) Broncos fan - since he made sunsets red.

Very silly. Clearly he likes the 49'ers better!

God sure hates the Red Sox (Bill $#$# Buckner, Bucky $#$%^ Dent, Enos %$!@ Slaughter...)

And there are 162 games in a Major League Baseball season (not counting the playoffs)

The season runs from early April to late September ("spring training" starts in mid to late February and the playoffs run through October)
