Downsides of philosophy?

a) Hard work
b) More doubt
c) Develop social handicaps (as described above)
d) Removes any illusions of intellectual superiourity.

I read Plato's Apology if this becomes a problem. The oracle of Delphi incident seems to express perfectly the burden of philosophers in this sense.
