That's nice. Would you care to map out where my response is illogical?

Note:
"Would you let billions of people suffer for the actions of two people?" != "Would you punish billions of people for the actions of two people?"

Take a look at the poll.. what does the majority say?
Well the majority says that God exists.

Many polls reveal that the majority says that atheists are not good Americans.

If majority opinion rules, then we're screwed.

So what? Is this another appeal that atheists are always right? I don't buy it when xians, republicans, or greens do it. Why should I buy it with respect to atheists? If you can make an argument, make an argument. Hitching yourself to a bandwagon does not make for a rational argument.

I'm still waiting for you to show where my comments lacked logic.

yes Rufus,
please stop fraternizing with the enemy!

I actually think this is true for most people regardless of any beliefs, I think it is quite normal to defend a loved one...

What dance routine? "Would you let billions of people suffer for the actions of two people?" Yes, I would. Why? Because "actions" is unspecified. What type of actions are we talking about here? Murder, free speech, buying candy? What type of suffering are we talking about? Higher gas prices, no electricity, no access to IIDB? If the OP wanted to limit the question to A&E, then it should have specified as such. I find it funny that some "freethinkers" have gotten upset that xians are willing to think outside the box. If the safety of the majority can justify the harm of a minority, then we atheists are in trouble.
.

RA ~ NO 'Actions' committed by two people would EVER justify the subsequent suffering of billions of people.

However, if some wish to imply the A&E conundrum (eating fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil)...then, there is even more of an argument against the ludicrous injustice perpetuated by the alleged deity of the christian fable.

Those that follow the xian meme and purport to be loving and understanding are simply forced to turn up the music and dance, dance, dance...otherwise the light of this blatantly brutal concept would short out the wiring of their indoctrination...or their avowed allegiances.

Go back and read the OP because that wasn't the question.

Again the original question was "Would you let billions of people suffer for the actions of two people?"

That is not the same as "Would you punish billions of people for the actions of two people?" or "Can the actions of two people justify the suffering of billions of people?"

Now here is a real situation that fits the original question.

An African American teenage male from Chicago is visiting his Mississippi family. While there he objects to a white girl being rude to him and smarts off at her. Later that night the klan comes to his family's house and demands that he be given over to them or they will burn the house down and kill them all. The boy doesn't want to go out. Would you force him to? Would you turn this boy over to the klan or would you let the entire family suffer for the actions of this boy?

Apparently many of the "freethinkers" on this board would have no problem giving him up, which I find morally repugnant.

Edit: Changed "most" to "many."
Edit: To add some historical context.

Ask Kally. The poll doesn't lie.

(Yes, it's probably not accurate, but that doesn't keep some people from arguing that it is.)
