If you actually read the scripture (rather than cutting and pasting from some anti-Christian website) you will see that the water was being raised for 40 days but the waters prevailed (remained) for 150 days.
Actually, I agree with this. The water rose for 40 days, then remained high for another 150 days.

Regarding the interpetation of Nephilim as giants, you may want to check out Farrell Till's comments on the matter in his Skeptical Review.
