I just wanna know what the evidence is for a young earth without citing scripture. I don't want the evidence for an old earth, I'll reserve that for another thread.

So what is the scientific evidence?
I'm seeing a lot of posts by YECs recently along the lines that they don't dispute the evidence, just the interpretations. In other words, all the evidence we cite for an old Earth is also used by YECs but interpreted differently. To put it mildly.

As far as evidence for an old Earth is concerned, I don't see why that necessarily affects a person's world view. Theistic evolutionists and atheistic evolutionists treat the scientific evidence exactly the same, but they have quite different world views.

Default young earth

I suggest you do a three year undergraduate course before you ask that question again. Of course with a major in earth science !!!!

Once while searching for crawdads (crayfish) to use as fishing bait, I turned over a rock. On the bottom of the rock was carved:

Earth: Copyright 4500 BC. by GOD. US Patents Pending

Does that count?

After reading Thomas Paine's "The Age of Reason" pt. 1 and 2 online, I had to question holding Scripture as a reliable authority. That's why there may be some inconsistency in my earlier posts.
I loved AOR, and really, I see no problem with his Deist point of view, it combines naturalism with theism, and if you throw away all "scripture" presents a usefull world view.

I don't know him / her from H heidelbergensis.
You poor, poor man. IMO, without H heidelbergensis the world would be a boring place. Ooops wait, that's S carlsbergensis, I always get the two confused. Nevermind.
