I have had more fun looking over this site and especially the guestbook. I had to leave my comment. Definitely not as thought provoking or fundamentally hilarious as some others, but I think it has its own charm:

Do these come on velvet???! Praise the LORD.

Thanks for the chuckle, Chuck!

I added a new parody just before you. The temptation and enjoyment is simply too great. Let's see if any of you recognize the name I used to post under.

50 years from now, when Bush is remembered as one of the worst presidents of all time, pieces of tacky art like this are going to be collector's items, a little bit like Nazi memorabilia. Mark my words.

I couldn't resist using my limited abilities to post a comment about "Blessed are the Peacemakers" as john t sikstin. Looks like it hasn't been deleted, so I guess he bought it.

Great comments, everyone! The admin hasn't spotted one parody yet, so either he's extremely dense or you're all very good. Or both

"Now, why would Lincoln (an Atheist) and Washington (a Deist) be praying to the Christain god?" was my little comment in the guestbook. Surprise, surprise, it's gone now...

Just thought I would bump this to the top for any interested parties. I was cleaning out my bookmarks and decided to check out the guestbook that was the topic of so much discussion earlier on this thread. It seems that a certain Michael Weiner (aka Michael Savage?) has set the record straight on Washington and Lincoln. Not only were they "God-loving", but they were also "Conservative" (capitalized, no less). Maybe it's just me, but the emancipation of the slaves strikes me as being something other than liberal. Oh, and I'm sure that Lincoln and Washington would be revolted at being classed as one of the "three greatest Presidents of all time" given the dubious company they are forced to keep.

My question for you: Was this one a parody ('fess up) or is it legit?

If you look above, TB, you'll note my 'fessing up to the parody. Good to see you saw the irony in not only the content but the pen name as well. I was wondering whether anyone would recognize the tip of the hat to Savage.

Heh. And I even double-checked the thread to make sure that nobody had owned that one. Ah well, good parody, although I would have to say that its eloquence (read: no glaring grammar or spelling errors) does make it a bit of the sore thumb amongst the backdrop of the real ones.
