There probably isn't a single Jewish studies scholar who would defend an unbroken oral tradition from Sinai, not to mention a Mosaic authorship of the Torah.

The tefillin issue is a bit of a mystery but there isn't a single mention about tefillin in the prophets etc. Not a lot of scholars specialize in this but nobody would say this was going on during the first temple.

I've noticed Duvi's arguments eventually end up with him accusing people of being Rabbi haters.

So "Blue Laws" have been on the books somewhere for 1700 years. I hate Blue Laws, and I dislike the idea of the government telling me that I cannot buy something on a certain day or time, or such and such places should be closed.

Sunday to me is just another day. I have worked on Sunday many times. It's just a day. I do resent not being able to buy liquor back in my hometown....just because its fucking Sunday, or to be able to go to the mall in the evenings.....because its fucking Sunday. Not being able to look for a job, amny things. Sunday is the day where at least westerners just become lazy bums who refuse to work if possible "But today is Sunday....wah wah wah."

There are asinine laws in many states disallowing the selling of a car on Sundays. Why? Because it's Sunday? Fuck Sunday, maybe I want to buy a car and Sunday is my day off to look for one. Here is a list of asinine, stupid Blue Laws still on the books in 2013.

Blue Laws needs to be eradicated. Stoopid politicians might see more money in the treasury, with it more employment, with it, more taxes. But no, they still worshop "The Sunday" like it is some kind of special day.
