Default 3 Day prophecy found?

http://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi...journalCode=jr

Does anybody know any more about the discovery of a prophecy that the Messiah will rise after 3 days?

I would have to pay $10 to read the article at that link.

But there are some quotes at the NTWrong blog

and some mention on paleojudaica, which links to some articles in Hebrew.

The text is in bad condition, the original editors render line 80 as
Quote:
by three days [undecipherable word] I Gabriel [remains of two words]
then line 81 begins
Quote:
prince of the princes
Israel Knohl in the article cited above renders the lines as
Quote:
by three days live/be resurrected, I Gabriel command you, prince of the princes
. The later part of line 81 is in bad condition. Knohl reconstructs as "the dung of the rocky crevices" to give a final reconstruction of lines 80-81
Quote:
by three days live/be resurrected, I Gabriel command you, prince of the princes, the dung of the rocky crevices.
Knohl then rather speculatively interprets his reconstructed lines in accord with the controversial ideas put forward in his previous publications. (He ends his article with what he admits to be a speculative suggestion that this is about the resurrection of Simon Maccabee.)
