Me suggesting? No, me innocent of believing this stuff. OK, just making sure you know which side I'm coming from.
The whole chapter appears to be a general rant.

(going with my translation at the moment)
First God bitches at the Prince of Tyre, he gives the Prince 'beauty of wisdom', brightness, and implies the guy thinks he's a god.
Then God bitches at the King of Tyre - including the bit I quoted
and Finally God bitches at Zidon in general,
before ending with a bit about how nice he's going to be to the house of Israel.

First off: can anyone tell me who or what they worshipped in Tyre. Was there a prince and a king in Tyre or could 'King' mean their god?

Secondly: how do the phrases within my quote relate to Tyre? Why would he say that the King of Tyre was in the Garden of Eden, covered in many precious stones, the 'far-covering' cherub (a cherub generally, why would a foreign king be called a cherub?), on the holy mountain of God (where would this be, Tyre itself?), that he was 'perfect' in his ways, that he has already been thrown off God's mountain, the beauty-wisdom-brightness again, and that's he's been turned into a cinder from within but probably still around terrifying people.

I have no problem with being shown how all the above can be referenced to the kings of Tyre (if anyone can and wishes to), I just feel that if you're looking for references to Lucifer in the OT then this section has possibilities.

That's crazy -- the last place I would've expected this to come from was a Mormon website
