Do you think the parishioners who sit in churches and pray to Jesus do NOT pay???

Last time I was a member of a church they were collecting 10% of my Monthly income which they claim was AUTHORISED by God and his Son Jesus.

Plus, they EXPECTED additional offerings in Cash on a Weekly basis.

It was like Hell on earth!!!! I could NOT save a dime.

If I knew then what I know Now about the Jesus story I would have reported the pastor to the Police. I got Robbed.

Is there any way I can get my money back from the church???

I paid a lot of money for what now is certainly Ghost stories.

Well, looking at this calmly it could be said that you paid for your biblical and patristic education. How else could you have become the leader of this forum without that first rate education?


Students at teaching centres pay many thousands of dollars to learn what you learned with only 10 per cent of your salary. If you were earning lots of money you were lucky and be happy for that and if you were not earning much you got the same education for little money, Very democratic and fair.


When you decided to leave there was nothing more to pay, unlike taxes when one is compelled to pay for policies which are detestable.

The Pastor told me I was going to hell and that Jesus can SAVE me from getting BURNT up if I Believe Jesus DIED for me.

I had NO idea that it would cost so much to convert.

After some years I started to realize that I was being CONNED.

There is NO benefit to a convert while he is alive.

Dead Converts supposedly go to heaven and those who are ALIVE Pay tithes and offerings UNTIL they are DEAD.

This is far worse than a Ponzi scheme.

I think that it should be required by LAW that ALL Churches place a DISCLAIMER on their FRONT DOORS.

Religions are all like that and natives tell the same stories in different languages.


The majority of people educated by professionals of a religious organization were introduced to religion when children, but you seem to have made an adult decision when submitting to the “management”.

You claim is erroneous. Not all religion claim Jesus, the Son of a Ghost DIED for our Sins was buried and Resurrected on the Third day.

I GREW UP in a society where it is considered IDIOTIC to reject BIBLE stories about the God of the Jews and Jesus his ONLY Begotten Son born of a Holy Ghost and a Virgin.


I GREW up in Church from childhood and every day they say the same thing--Accept Jesus or BURN in Hell.

I want my money back.

They are the same stories. Every religion sells salvation from some evil that it will be certain to come after death unless one submits to a prescribed conduct. The sellers acquire status in society and build temples, centres of sophisticated propaganda and so forth.


I am aware that among the “agnostics/atheists/freethinkers/rationalists/...” there is a domineering subgroup that treats some religions as benign, but I despise that subgroup. I find one religion as undesirable as the next one.


My background is very different in that I grew up in a home with no interest in any religion , but I acknowledge distant protestant ancestors , I consider them to have been liberators and I am grateful to them for that .


I first read the bible after I retired and only because I joined this forum to see what others were saying.

Again, your claim is erroneous. Please do NOT spread propaganda. Every religion does NOT have the same story.

Some religion are based on KNOWN FICTION and LIES.

In the Bible it is claimed Mary was WITH child of a Holy Ghost and that it was that same Resurrected Child of a Ghost that Commissioned the disciples to preach the Gospel.

It is a NOTORIOUS LIE and should NEVER ever be told to unsuspecting children who don't even know right from wrong.
