This last conclusion (so far as you can tell) is actually wrong. The quote from Mt begins in line 3 and goes to line 9. The rest is from Irenaeus.

To avoid hijacking Pete's thread, I am going to respond to spin's reply at Jay's thread, where the discussion of POxy 3.405, supposedly written by "Irenaeus", continues (perhaps post #60) breathlessly....
