Can't remember which philosophers used a debating technique of a sneer that the poster is wrong without an explanation, an insult, and then four to eight irrelevant questions.

Nor can I remember what philosopher used the technique of characterizing questions instead of answering them and then presented himself as the only one who was actively engaged with the argument at hand.

In any case, are you going to tell me what Greek word underlies the references to "love" in the Symposium or not?

In other words, the answer to my question "are you going to tell me what Greek word underlies the references to "love" in the Symposium or not?" is no.

And the reason for this seems clear. You don't know. Or if you do, you don't want to say because youd then have to admit that your claim about 1 Cor. 13 being rooted in Plato-- and especially in the Symposium, has no merit.

Once again, we have a clear illustration of the how wrong one often is, and mislead one can be, when one does exegesis of, and makes claims about the source of, NT texts on the basis of English translations of them.
