Notice here also that the shepherds were taking turns herding their sheep at night, that so are apologies to console and not deny.

Augustine of Hippo Admits that it is beneficial to the Church to have Papal succession that goes back to Peter.

Only one problem. Peter Never existed.

Augustine's Letter 53
Quote:
2. For if the lineal succession of bishops is to be taken into account, with how much more certainty and benefit to the Church do we reckon back till we reach Peter himself, to whom, as bearing in a figure the whole Church, the Lord said: Upon this rock will I build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!

The successor of Peter was Linus, and his successors in unbroken continuity were these:— Clement, Anacletus, Evaristus, Alexander, Sixtus, Telesphorus, Iginus, Anicetus, Pius, Soter, Eleutherius, Victor, Zephirinus, Calixtus, Urbanus, Pontianus, Antherus, Fabianus, Cornelius, Lucius, Stephanus......
What we have before us is a massive fraud where Bishops were invented for hundreds of years at least from the 1st and up to the 4th century by the Church and its agents.

Peter was the faith of Joseph, and he is the only one who needs to have walked around there to make it real. You know, good old Joseph there who we made patron saint of the family, even tho a big sinner he was. But then so was Augustine too, and when it comes right down to it heaven might just be for sinners only. This would then be why Catholicism is in the 'sinners business' only and let God find his own.

And was it not Peter who put on a new coak of faith and dove in head-first to catch those big ones that they hauled to Rome to be the encasement of heaved as the home of Rome?

And remember that with all doubt removed there was no longer any faith in him as Jew? . . . and could not catch a thing all night to prove that true, and here you want to make him real, now as historical, to prove the story true?

And yes, it was this Peter who's insight was the rock that Jesus would built his church on, and so Peter never was a material man, but his insight to recognize Jesus as the messiah was the rock [of faith] and not the pebble or bolder that he was standing on.

It so makes the church untouchable and beyond the reach off humans or they would have wrapped a two by four around their neck already many years ago.

So Peter is the papal seat only and thereupon is the Pope infallible, and I suppose Paul was the agency to sit on it, and now here soon the next guy will be chosen by those inside the know.

Not to make this complicated, but if the OP is about the basis for a Papacy, including Apostolic Succession we must look at Causation wherein truth is prior to us and we are its agents to maintain and propagate, and with significance, to be sure, since our temporal life is an illusion while in fact also eternal life is an extraction from infinity, and so not stable either in a world where only the fittest will survive. It therefore is that civilizations will rise and fall, and so now the rise of Christendom is what they had in mind and for this a central leadership is needed to built their pyramid.

In their Formal Cause the proclamation was made that the 'insight' of Peter was to be the rock of faith. So now we already know that it is inspired that comes across to us as mystery based, and of course is sold like that for us to encounter on our own and thus not to claim . . . simply because 'truth is,' and so is not a lie. Officially this would be called their Genesis 1, as the Essence for the seat of Paul.

In Genesis 2 Paul is to give Form as the Efficient Cause in the design of their plan, who so must be presented as a first hand witness of the event and able to be all things to all men, as Universal, they would say, and have story for everyone whether liked, hated or indifferent to him so that truth will stand, and indeed the Papal seat will radiate.

Plato used this image to present Agape itself as seen by the Senior in the Fifth Interpretation that is beyond human understanding from where it knows no opposite in hate, and therefore can only radiate like a chair that does not recieve when seated on. This concept actually is common knowledge wherein love is not love which alters when it alteration finds, that so makes true love based on truth itself and not on our various egos that successively die in us (Marcel Proust here).

With the essence of the seat in place and now the seat itself, 'the plot' is next, that is protected in their privation of Saints declared in heaven with whom the Faithful are in Communion to serve them "from what is prior to us toward what is prior by nature" in the actual encounter, there now to re-collect as already prior to us when we see the image in our daily life. This so becomes a faith builder for those in communion with the church and do receive that way; also via icons that are seen by the eye of the soul where they so become prior to us to later see in our conscious mind, and we say 'yes' to it.

In this sense is their ideal morphed after the common marriage wherein 'he finds his life in her' and she becomes the home for him once he enters, to fill her void that converts a house into a home for both, which aloof, then, is also why all roads lead to Rome in the beatific vision where the Divine Marriage will be at for those so called and chosen in natures way, they say.

Just be reminded here that this is their Ideal inside the Plot for which the mememic pathway is in place, which is a must, and necessarily be a part of it after the Son was born, as they say is true, and moved to Rome, as they claim he did, along with Mary and Peter, NB, who for us is the faith we need to see and Mary is the wherewithall we need to see the same (oh, and then Jesus just showed us how it is done).

So then the Material Cause is the selection of the Pope in Genesis 3, so he may be seated the on the chair and this is done in Genesis 4 outside of Eden, or outside Paul's Efficeint Cause, here now in the Final Cause.

To confirm their strategy 'inside the know' let me take you to Aristotle's Posterior Analytics Book II where the last paragraph reads this:

Quote:
Thus it is clear that we must get to know the primary premisses by induction; for the method by which even sense-perception implants the universal is inductive. Now of the thinking states by which we grasp truth, some are unfailingly true, others admit of error-opinion, for instance, and calculation, whereas scientific knowing and intuition are always true: further, no other kind of thought except intuition is more accurate than scientific knowledge, whereas primary premisses are more knowable than demonstrations, and all scientific knowledge is discursive. From these considerations it follows that there will be no scientific knowledge of the primary premisses, and since except intuition nothing can be truer than scientific knowledge, it will be intuition that apprehends the primary premisses-a result which also follows from the fact that demonstration cannot be the originative source of demonstration, nor, consequently, scientific knowledge of scientific knowledge.
More here, last last paragraph, but not important really. All it does is point at the reality that we call the Mind of Christ, that must be someplace if we claim he stayed as both Lord God and God, that, incidently also defrocked Peter on their final fishing trip when he put on that new cloak they called Catholic.

http://ebooks.adelaide.edu.au/a/aris...poa/book2.html

Then notice that Aristotle here is pointing at the Ideal that is beyond human error that even in science can be a handicap, and therefore intuition must be truer than the conclusion after the experiment is done, and so finally 'water-walkers' they must be while on that seat, which of course for them is in the New Heaven and Earth where water is like solid rock nad hence the sea is no longer there in Rev.21:1 and a lamp is no longer needed Gen.22:5.

Not preaching here but exposing their predicament, wherein now 'infallibility' becomes a necessary statement they must make.

If you compare this with the Jews who always lived like strangers in a foreign land without a homeland of their own, it is easy to see how their symbiotic relationship was often seen as parasitic by the natives.

Opposite this, with Christ here to stay, Rome is needed to validate the NT or we would still be OT people too, and one certainly cannot be both NT and OT to say that he came and left again, or left them stranded even and hoping that he will come again and we are waiting for his return, still and forever maybe if he flew the coop again. So what are they to do? other than elect another Pope.

James Joyce (1882-1941), Irish author. "Ireland, Island of Saints and Sages," lecture, 27 April 1907, Università Popolare Triestina (published in Critical Writings, sct. 35, ed. by Ellsworth Mason and Richard Ellmann, 1959).
Joyce tells you here that it does not help to argue with them as they speak a different language and Oxford will never understand as look-alikes in the height of sophistry, and so he left them both to sing his song of love to all.

He did this in the last line of his Portrait with the words: "Old father, old artificer, stand me now and ever in good stead."

These words were dated on April 27, after a 40 day count-down to assimilate Gethsemany and rise again 3 days later on May 1, where heaven on earth begins for him.

To note here also is his beatific vision on page 171 Chapter 4, Penguin Books ISBN 0 14 00.4221 0 that goes like this:

"A girls stood before him in midstream, alone and still, gazing out into the sea. She seemed like one whom magic had changed into the likeness of a strange and beautiful seabird. Her long slender bare legs were delicate as a crane's and pure save where an emerald trail of seaweed had fashioned itself as a sign upon the flesh. . . .."

Beautiful lines that end with this response:

"'Heavenly God!' cried Stephan's soul, in an outburst of profane joy."

The seaweed here was a sign of victory wherein the 'lesser serpent' was defeated' by eliminating the temple tramp that we call Eve and communicate directly with the woman in our TOL, who from there is the source of all we are.

. . . and Oxford will never understand even if they are Irish.
