Thanks for that list. On my site I am very, very slowly compiling all the contacts between Justin and the gospel materials. The list may come in handy; right now I am just using the Synopsis Quattuor Evangeliorum, but it misses a few parallels (including, notably, the Boanerges overlap between Dialogue 106.3 and Mark 3.17; this text is included in the appendix as an attestation to gospel origins, but not in the main text, IIRC, as a parallel to that pericope in Mark).

Ben.

ETA: Where is the 1 Corinthians quote found in Justin? Thanks.

Concerning the supposed 1 Cor. 11:19 reference, Justin (Dialogue ch. 35) attributes the saying to Jesus, not Paul.

Because it is not edifying to the faithful. Tongue is, of course, firmly in mouth.

I'd have to look it up. The list was compiled from the Ante Nicene Christian Fathers series about 10-11 years ago, and everything points to page numbers in the appropriate volume. Unfortunately, all my printed volumes are packed in boxes at the moment. FWIW, it was page 212.

What I did was look up each citation listed in the footnotes, and graded it on the basis of whether it seemed to me to be a quote, allusion, commonplace, or figments of the imaginations of the ANF editors. This was all done in English translation and not very scientific.

Thanks, Jake! Turns out I had it on my Justin Martyr page all along, not to mention my agrapha page! I just plain forgot about it.
