Yes. Paul attests to the sect's existence, and I have yet to find a credible argument against the authenticity of the documents in which he does so.
Which Paul did this? There were at least two Pauls who wrote the Epistles and there are no known authentic writings from any of them to compare with the Epistles to verify which of the Pauls wrote what. Nothing is known of these Pauls external of biblical writings and those of Christian apologists.

Not forgetting that Paul never met a Jesus. He met with followers of Jesus, but it's not certain he actually met any eye witnesses who new Jesus personally.

A Jesus sect or a messiah sect?
Jesus sect.

Followers of whom? So they, too, were taken in by the myth? It seems to me that your mythicism has a crack in it ...

Whichever you prefer. Last time I read anything Paul wrote, the sect was focused on a messiah named Jesus.

I don't know what you're talking about.

I am quite aware that not all the epistles attributed to Paul were written by him, but I was referring to the ones he did write.

You do not know that there was a Paul in the first place. You cannot know what he did write. Acts is regarded as fiction and one of the main characters is a so-called Saul/Paul.

There is no credible extra-biblical or non-apologetic writings which confirms that Jesus was not a myth, so how could it be verified that he had a brother, except probably the devil?

There are no cracks that I'm aware of. He met followers, no eye witnesses. Where the followers obtained their information of this Jesus myth, I claim, comes from the ancient Mystery Religions. That is my opinion only, I don't claim to be an expert, I'm far from it. I only know what I read from books and sites such as this www.jesusneverexisted.com
