I'm sorry to disappoint, but the Bible is just plain wrong in regards to the origins of life, the universe, and everything. No amount of reconciliation is going to make the Bible agree with modern science. For instance, the Bible states that birds came before the land animals. It does not matter how long a 'yom' is; science shows that birds evolved from terrestrial theropods (dinosaurs) during the Jurassic period.

There are many other examples of scientifically inacurate assertions in the Bible, but I don't feel like listing them all. The others on this forum would be happy to do so.

Veovis, you do know that there were flying dinosaurs, don't you? Archaeopteryx comes to mind.

I advise that you please do at least some research before posting. Thank you.

Tell that to Apollo, Hercules, Venus and Dionysis; don't tell me. I'm jus' an innocent bystander here...

And you can forward this post to some of those pagan gods as well. They'll understand...

Lol, amen, PLP. And, yes. I'm on top of my initial statement. But before the pedant begins, nothing says I can't have a 'lil fun with these guys, now does it?

Can't do it. They're just as fictional as your big guy is, stud. And you're no innocent bystander - if you'll look, you are the one that started this thread. Complete fucking waste of bandwidth, unless you're as easily amused as I.

Little fun? More like giving us good laughing material.

Answer my question, TBT: Sources
