Default Retributive Justice

Why do many Christians say that retributive justice is against the bible?

The bible is FILLED with retributive justice. Moses himself killed an Egyptian who he saw mistreating a countryman.

1) Most don't even read the bible, they just parrot what their pastor says.
2) Special pleading is their greatest "weapon".

There was part of the bible see, that came after the OT called the New Testament. It has some stuff in there about turning the other cheek. That's probably where it comes from.

Yes and he paid the price for it.
The Israelites wouldn't trust him as they thought he would kill them and Pharaoh wanted him executed. He had to flee to Midian.
As I can recall (at this time of night) retributive justice is never approved by God, there is always punishmnet to follow, of what form.
Retributive justice by the way I take to mean is 'justice' without reference to God 1st for advice or counsel.

Retributive justice is never allowed by God - Rom 12:19

What do you have to say about the commandment in Exodus that "Anyone who strikes a man and kills him shall surely be put to death."" But if a man schemes and kill another man deliberately, take him away from my altar and put him to death."? (Ex 21:12,14)

I notice Christians are happy to use the OT when it suits them, but when they don't like it, they reference the NT. And it's not a matter of resolving contradictions in law, because Jesus himself claimed that he had come not to abolish the law, but to fulfill it.

Tigers, this doesn't consitute an answer. Scripture by itself doesn't tell us anything. It's robotic to merely cite scripture and not tell us why or what it means. You have to say why Moses' killing that man was not retributive justice.
