Well, that's a new twist.

Paul did not write Acts. The story there is about Saul, later identified with Paul, but there seems to be a tenuous connection between Saul and the Paul who wrote the letters.

Yes, it makes for a dramatic story. But we have no real evidence that it was anything but a story.

Acts 9.8

Saul/Paul, the author of ALL the Pauline Epistles, did not see Jesus. SAUL/PAUL was blinded and to make matters worse he claimed in his own Epistle that he saw Jesus after the resurrection.

What lies.

Who has ever seen someone who did not exist after a resurrection while they were blinded?

Only Saul/Paul, the author of ALL the Pauline Epistles.
Hi,

I think Jesus was a special man, and the notion of being offspring from God and the Life Force of God strange and unlikely.

I mean, any more than we are all children of the Father.
But, Jesus is the only entity described in the NT as the offspring of the Holy Ghost and Creator of everything in heaven and earth.

What you think of Jesus is irrelevant unless you are prepared to substantiate your thoughts by sources of antiquity.

Jesus was NO special man, but a mythological God/man no more than Achilles.

This is all unsubstantiated. If Jesus was just a man as you propose then Paul would have deemed to be a liar when he claimed he saw Jesus who was raised from the dead.

Apologetic sources have denied that Marcion edited or mutilated the Pauline Epistles. Hippolytus in " Refutation Against All Heresies" claimed Marcion did NOT use the Pauline Epistles at all but the doctrine of Empedocles.

And Origen in "Against Celsus" claim Marcion did NOT alter the Gospels.

By the way, not even Paul wrote any letters about Jesus , he was dead according to the Church before the Fall of the Temple and before Jesus was invented.

I didn't say Paul wrote Acts. And it's universally believed that Paul is Saul in Biblical scholarship as far as I know.

And no problem reconciling the slaughter part, it's in the letters too. He brags about it.

I'm not a Christian. Maybe that's the problem.

The Pauline writer LIED. He did not see JESUS. He was blind like a bat and he lied like a FOX.
"Paul" and "Pseudo Paul" (and the rest of the early contributors) all used the same series of abbreviated codes for JESUS. How did this arise? Who was the cunning "redactor" wolf who lead the practice amidst the fox like scribes and authored the scribal nomina sacra which are evidenced in all the earliest manuscripts of the NT?

Mark doesn't have any of the Jargon in Paul's "genuine" letters (those in the Marcion Gnostic Bible 130CE).

As likely as not, that jargon comes from Marcion.

This is about all that Paul writes in his letters:

Quote:
Galatians 1:13 (NKJV)
13 For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it

Nah, there's more in the letters and Acts, for instance...

Philippians: If any other man thinks that he has confidence in the
flesh, I yet more: 3:5circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of
Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; concerning
the law, a Pharisee; 3:6concerning zeal, persecuting the assembly;
concerning the righteousness which is in the law, found blameless.

The Gospels claimed Jesus was special too, a special God/man.

I say Jesus was fiction or mythological.

Please say which sounds more christian.

Being christian or non-christian is not a problem but you need sources of antiquity to support your claims about Jesus and Paul.

Excuse me if I’m being too blunt, but doesn’t that seem just a teeny weenie bit absurd to you?

When I read things like this it just makes me giggle.
