I don't think so. You made a generalized comment about people in general. I was pointing to my personal intolerence for a TV show. I may have missed your point though...

When I read this, I had an epiphany. The purpose of hell was suddenly revealed to me in a vision! God has spent since the beginning of time, don't you know, trying to find people who are so averse to thinking for themselves that they pose not the first threat to his absolute rule in heaven, people who will sit down and shut up and believe whatever they're told. Once he gets them up there, he wants to make damn sure none of them get too big for their britches, so to speak, so he drags them all over to the pit of hell once a month or so and reminds them of what could happen if they ever start getting ideas. They hear the screams and feel the flames starting to tickle their toes, and they give up any notions they might have had brewing about asking for more Sex and the City reruns or a faster Internet connection.
