Actually, I never denied either. Moreover I only answer to one person about my faith: Christ and no one else. And last I checked you ain't Christ. If you wish to revile me for how I articulate the faith of Christ then by all means be my guest. Precisely no skin off my nose. Jesus said that men would hate us so I am not surprised.

That having all been said, how is any of this relevant to the question of inerrancy? How is anything about me as a person relevant to the question of inerrancy? Short answer: It ain't. Anyone interested in listening to Mr. Hobbit Fancier (who, I might add is a moderator and thus has degree of authority here, whether you agree with him or not) and saying something that actually is relevant?

Post let it go

You opened the door, we walked through it. There is nothing more to say.

Hmmmm...Paul did not seem to think that way after his little squabble with Peter at Antioch. Jesus did not seem to think that way when Judas turned him over to the authorities. Etc.

Huh? I opened the door to ad hominen attacks by honestly expressing my views on inerrancy? How can we honestly discuss inerrancy if I cannot honestly express my views on the issue without "opening the door" to ad hominen attacks? Either we keep the ad hominens out or we might as well stop the conversation. This is precisely why I think that this thread needs to be locked.

Okay. That's enough.

If you guys can't play together nicely, I'm going to have to take the ball away from you.
