I'm not afraid of anything. Why would you imply that I am?

To my knowledge, there are three claimed possible "tombs of Jesus" in and around Jerusalem. The first two are the most well-known:

1) The tomb under the Church of the Holy Sepulcher

2) The Garden Tomb

The third is rather obscure:

3) The tomb on the Mount of Olives (The Eleona Cave, I believe it's called, has been claimed by some to be the mysterious tomb of Jesus).

This site discusses the tomb under the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the Eleona Cave, and includes quite a bit of other discussion as well:

http://www.bibarch.com/Perspectives/2.3.htm

Information on the Church of the Holy Sepulcher is, of course, readily available.

Here's an entire site on the Garden Tomb:

http://www.gardentomb.com/

This site talks about the Sepulcher tomb and the Garden tomb:

http://www.christiananswers.net/q-abr/abr-a026.html

Note that these tombs are not, by far, the only empty tombs to be found in an around Jerusalem.

And, as an interesting aside, here is a website devoted to a "tomb of jesus" in Kashmir, India:

http://www.tombofjesus.com/home.htm

Here's one from Japan:

http://www.thiaoouba.com/tomb.htm

That Jesus! He couldn't stay put!

What evidence do you have that Jesus was buried in any of these tombs?

I personally will not bother to provide any, as I'm not claiming that Jesus was buried in any of them, just that they are all alleged to be tombs of Jesus. Various people make arguments for each of them. None can be proved conclusively to be the actual tomb of Jesus, of course. Do the research yourself if you're really interested.

Remember, this line of discussion originated when you responded:

Quote:
and those tombs are empty.
to someone's mentioning having visited three alleged tombs of Jesus.

It would seem that I need to ask you what the intention of that response was? It sounded to me like you were trying to make some point about the significance of the tombs being empty.

Concede what, exactly? I don't even know what your point is.

And it's not that I "can't provide any evidence" (again, the arguments for the various sites is readily available to you if you're really interested; I even provided links that include some such arguments), it's that you're asking me to provide evidence to support a claim that I did not even make. I never claimed that Jesus was buried in any of the tombs.

Again, why the "and those tombs are empty" comment in the first place?

Oh? How so?

You still haven't clarified what your point even is.

Again, why the "and those tombs are empty" comment in the first place?
