Default The President Sets The Precedent

THE PRESIDENT SETS THE PRECEDENT
By New 10.

I have noticed that company employees will often take a cue from their superiors as to how they interact with other employees. This is also true of presidents, people will take his cue as to how they treat others in our society using declarrations such as “Atheists should not be considered good American citizens. In the society of other countries, if the president is a bigot, he will set the attitude of the nation. If the president is a Christian Fundamentalist many people will follow his lead. This is often very subtle, but it is there. If the president is against stem cell research that will save thousands of lives so goes the general popu lation, they will agree with the President.
The worst tragedy that has befallen America in our era is the invasion of Iraq. I can’t help to think that this mentally disturbed Christian Fundamentalist had the illusion that Jesus spoke to him and told him to attack Iraq. War seems to be a profitable business for Halliburton Industries especially and this war seems to make nepotism rewarding.
Since Bush said that Jesus was his favorite philosopher why would we expect him not to listen to Jesus? (Bush’s inner voice) Now he can justify the attack as the will of God. He can’t tell this to the American public but he can with his Christian Fundamentalist cronies. Bush should not be considered a good American citizen.
