Boteach is a character. Failed Messiah has lots of stuff about him...

Aw, c'mon, you're not as bad as all that.

But, seriously, I like Boteach. His books on masculinity, sex and marriage have been very helpful to me. I agree with much of what he says about Christ. And I applaud him for bringing to the masses something that most clergy are anxious to keep hushed up.

Boteach was awesome on the Joy Behar show when he started expounding on the New Testament. The Christian cleric on the panel said, "Hey, how about you leave the Christian scriptures to me?" This china shop needs a bull like that.
