Wish I could because it has long been a belief of mine that God and Jesus both have a sense of humor.

Look at the platypus. Look at the US Senate and president.

I would love to find refernces in Scripture of that.

Humour requires to a degree not taking yourself seriously enough. That doesn't happen in the NT, but probably do in the OT. Also, humour requires intelligence, and you can't find it in the NT, as Bertrand Russell said. It doesn't abound in the OT either, of course.

I do remember Isaiah 16:11 "Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kirharesh". The fart of the prophet is like incense to the Lord. :devil1:

Note that the author appears to be a Presbyterian minister, also the author of "Trusting God: Christian Faith in a World of Uncertainty," " Laughter In Heaven: Understanding The Parables Of Jesus," and other inspirational works.

Why would anyone bother since, as is demonstrable, you rarely if ever read books if they are not available on the internet?

Parable schmarable, let alone one that dodges the question I asked you.

Far more apt in this instance is the story of the "proud of his stupidity" dullard who, when he disparagingly challenged the well informed and credentialed bibliophile about the value of being educated, received the reply "Have you ever met anyone with an education who would swap places with you?"

In any case, I wonder what you'd have found if you had gone into Brunner's study.
