06-01-06 or 06-06-06?
I had read where an ancient papyrus of reveleations clearly shows the number of the beast as 616 and not 666. Would'nt that make today, 06-01-06, the Beast Day instead of 06-06-06?
Damn, now where am I going to get enuough kittens on such short notice for the barbeque tonight? |

The papyrus is P115, also known as P.Oxy. 4499, and some info can be found here.
Or by using google like so: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search Julian |

Depends how you write your dates. Here in the UK, 06/01/06 was back in January...

This brings up something I've always wondered about. 666 as a special number only works in our decimal system. Was that in use at the time? In Roman numerals it would be something like DCLXVI (I hope I got that right), which, while having the property it uses all numerals less than M exactly once an in descending order, is otherwise unremarkable. Hm, maybe that actually is remarkable...
