For more on the ridiculous interpretations that come from this pile of hallucinations, check out The History of the End of the World (or via: amazon.co.uk), by Jonathan Kirsch. Since the time of Jesus every generation has had some nut jobs proclaiming that the signs of the end-times are upon us. What did they all have in common? Obviously, they were all wrong ...
And why were they wrong? Some were just straight quacks, others did not realize that Revelations is 90% about Israel. Jesus and the prophets made it clear that Israel would be trampled by the Gentiles before His arrival. The true sign of the end times is the restoration of Israel and the dispute over Jerusalem. Israel was no longer in existence when these people misinterpreted the signs of the end.

Because the world did not end. D'uh!

And every time the world did not end on schedule, they invented a new interpretation of the Holy Prediction, just as you are doing.

According to Christian Theology, or mythology if you prefer, the world is not going to "end" merely the "age of man" is going to end to be immediately followed by the millenium.

For those who take Revelation (no 's', sugarhitman) seriously, let us see what that Jesus fella had to say:

"The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed" Luke 17:20 (NIV)

... a statement that pretty much invalidates all of Revelation.

The end times has a purpose. To destroy the Jews who refuse to acknowledge Jesus as Lord. This is what many evangelicals expect to see and why they constantly offer one prediction after another. Jesus will return to Mt.Zion and separate the sheep from the goats. Blood will run up to the horses bridles. All this happening in Israel. What about the rest of the Jews throughout the world? Doesn't look like they count as Israel is the focused place of tribulation in the last day war.

btw, the Christians will have been raptured into heaven where they watch as humanity and Jews in Israel are slaughtered by Jesus.

*sigh* (another ignorant critic) The return of Jesus is to save Israel and the Church, and also to destroy the persecuters of Israel and the Church, who happens to be Gentiles and Jews. Remember Aremegeddon or the "times of the Gentiles" takes place in Israel. There God will punish Israel and Judge the rest of the nations....try reading before you make stupid accusations.

The gentiles aren't excluded, in fact the Apostle Paul was sent primarily to the gentiles in the first century. According to christian theology, or mythology if you prefer, once the "time of the gentiles" is over Israel will be fully restored and rule over the nations during the millenium.
