Sugerhitman:

Humor is all fine and dandy, but have you yet answered the question: "Was Tyre conquered and made a ruin?"

I thought he dived into the flames...sandals and all.

Nero's Sandal...I like that......which probaly explains why he couldnt crush those Christians he hated so much.
And Christianity couldn't crush:

Homosexuality, paganism, Islam, Judaism, Protestantism (or Catholicism, depending on your point of view), atheism, science, and a great many other things.

--and by the way, boots are better than sandals NB

I suggest you do like the Pauline writers.

Just talk directly to the one who was RAISED from the dead.

There may be errors in the Bible.

And there are NO more false prophecies LEFT to be fulfilled.

Jesus of the NT may have fulfilled all the false prophecies and was the product of a false prophecy. See Isaiah 7.14.

Please state what kind of cloud that the Son of man can come in as described in Luke 21.27

...And then shall they shall see the son of man coming in a cloud...?
Is that cloud a typical RAIN cloud or what?

There are clouds called cumulus, stratus, cirrus and nimbus but I canNOT find any called Jesus.

How does the populace, the weatherman, a local prophet or the blind readily identify a cloud with Jesus inside?

Go ahead. You were proven wrong 80+ times the last big Tyre megathread, so----if you want to get metaphorically bludgeoned over the head again, sure, why not.

Default The Tyre thingy....Again

Okkkkkk, ladies and gents, supporters and crits, here we go again.

Critics have not realized that the Tyre Prophecy was not to be fulfilled all at once....but gradually, through the efforts of many nations starting with the Babylonians..and finally by God Himself...Also note two geographical areas in the prophecy:

"For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people.

8He shall slay with the sword thy daughters in the field: and he shall make a fort against thee, and cast a mount against thee, and lift up the buckler against thee.

9And he shall set engines of war against thy walls, and with his axes he shall break down thy towers.

10By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shall cover thee: thy walls shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the wheels, and of the chariots, when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a city wherein is made a breach.

11With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all thy streets: he shall slay thy people by the sword, and thy strong garrisons shall go down to the ground.

Now this is not the Island fortress, because Tyre was specially designed to make seige mounds, and "engines of war" impossible. Nebby is here clearly attacking a land fortress...this is Old Tyre..or USHU.

"12And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water."

Now here thus begins the actions of "they"..this is no longer the Babylonians. Firstly, as Ezekiel later notes, the Babylonians did not loot the Tyrians, and they didnt "lay" Tyre's rubble into the "water". Take a gooood look at the word "lay" folks...it means to build..like laying a foundation. This is exactly what the Greeks did!! They layed Tyre's stones, soil, and wood into the water to build their Causeway to reach the Island fortress. Old Tyre's rubble became building material for the Causeway, making her a "bare rock". And thus the shift from USHU to the Island.

"And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the sound of thy harps shall be no more heard.

14And I will make thee like the top of a rock: thou shalt be a place to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more: for I the LORD have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD."

Old Tyre today is indeed a place to spread nets upon. Also this is contrast to "When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee"...Ofcourse you cant spread nets on a bare rock buried deep in the sea, thus confirming that two locations are spoken against in this prophecy!!

Now we turn to Island Tyre:

"Thus saith the Lord GOD to Tyrus; Shall not the isles shake at the sound of thy fall, when the wounded cry, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee?

16Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble at every moment, and be astonished at thee.

17And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city, which wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it!

18Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be troubled at thy departure.

19For thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee;

20When I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, with the people of old time, and shall set thee in the low parts of the earth, in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I shall set glory in the land of the living;"

This is the Final Judgement against Tyre from God himself....the burial in the sea....which takes place at the end of time when " 12And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

13And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

14And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and *every mountain and ***island**** were moved out of their places." Rev.6

This mighty earthquake, a theme throughout Prophecy will be so great that all Islands will be buried under a certain accompanying Tsunami.

Reader should also note that as the Prince and King of Tyre are types of the personalized Beast and Satan, Tyre in Eze.27 is also a type for Mystery Babylon.

Well I hope you all have learned something today, for indeed "I (not me ) am the Lord, I speak, and the word I speak shall come to pass." Hashem

Indeed they have, and indeed they shall.

Which Thread? The Tyre sub-thread or the primary Thread?

Thanks.

The primary thread seeks to examine the possible common theme in the various books of the prophets and the NT....which I havent seen discussed here. The sub thread was posted in response to a request from a skeptic, with some additional info.
