Razinger's election pretty much settles the matter, at least for the length of his administration. Women will most certainly not be ordained while Benedict is on the papal throne, no matter what scripture has to say on the matter.

In Catholicism we write our own Gospel so the one you read can be prior to us by nature and is now second hand to you. Haven't you got that figured out yet John?

I really do not know the Ratzinger but I am sure he'll be OK.

Yes, Ratzinger's mind certainly seems firm on this. Watching this recent papal process reminds me of something a friend once said: the Papacy is the closest thing the world has to a re-creation of the Second Temple era Jewish priesthood.
