Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.
Just a change of vision is required to see this where now the sea is our intuit knowledge that at one time was hidden from our faculty of reason (TOL vs TOK).

So what? He was needed to manifest Peter who was the faith of Joseph the Jew.

Same thing. Rock means Truth and if one is an ark builder he is also a tomb hewer in the Truth retained and that will be the place wherein the ego is buried on the other side of this life when the ark finds new land (not all do).

The error here is that Christ was set free when Jesus died and Jesus rose from the death to be with Christ again, first as Christ Jesus and later as Jesus Christ.

. . . and Christianity is a curse that is based of the false Gospel of James and Cephas in the same way that Gnostic can never be an -ism, wherefore Catholics are not Christians and never will be except in the Church Triumphant and even there they are still Catholic by name. To think otherwise is to deny the firstborn with a tomb of his own.

He must have been a Jew if he was a tax collecter meaning that he was infamous as Jew and thereby a persecutor of Judaism (we would call it a lost sheep or prodigal son which requires 'sonship' first).
