It looks to me like it’s all based on the wedding between the Lamb and His followers in Revelation 19:6ff.

When I used to date black women I used to say that I too was of African descent because of my Jewish heritage but that was a stretch too (although the 'Jewfro' may argue for it still). Unfortunately my hair is straight though.

I bet the wedding story in John 2:1-11 was originally about Jesus; Jesus was the bridegroom. The whole episode originally came after 4:42.

It was a double entendre. At face value it was about a physical wedding between Jesus and the Samaritan woman, but it had a deeper symbolic meaning based on the spiritual wedding in Revelation 19:6.

Are you trying to say that ancient Egyptians were a bunch of white Jews?

The Samaritan woman was probably named Mary. But then they yanked her name.

John the Baptist was the best man.

There’s even an artifact in Mark 2:18-22.

John 2:1
Now on the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee.
On the third day of what?

John 4:40 tells us that Jesus stayed with the Samaritan woman and family for 2 days.

Using it as an example of stupidity.

But the narrative was rejected by a large contingent of Christians at the turn of the third century, many at Rome.
