Default The game

Ok, the game is simple:

The game starts when you forget about the game.
You lose the game when you remember about it.
Then the game starts when you forget about it again.

You MUST tell people around you that you have lost it, which often involves explaining the game to them.

By reading this thread, you are now part of the game.

Does You reference me or my computer? If it referenced my computer, it forgets about this thread-therefore this game-once I navigate off this thread. If it references the physical entity known as me, The thread here is imprinted on my memory until the specific cells/neurons tied into that memory die. If you are referring to the second type of memory loss, how will You ever know when the neurons die? Or how will You ever know If I navigate off this page?

Another possibility is that you are referring to what I am focussing my short term attention on. Same thing applies, though, different people have different attention spans. By typing trivial drivel this long, I have probably focussed on this thread far longer than anyone else. By your rules, I probably am losing this game more successfully than anyone else!

Trivially yours,
SoT

Short term memory, you tend to forget about the game quite quickly. However, you get reminded about it by odd things. For instance, someone says "Do you want to come and watch the game" and this reminds you of the game, so you lose.

It sounds very odd, and I thought my brother was an idiot when he told me about it, but once you get into it its quite good. It is funny to randomly get a text telling you someone has just lost, and funny when you are in public, I've started a few conversations with random people this way, people that knew about the game.

The length of time doesn't matter, it's how many times. It doesn't count if someone tells you they have lost the game though.

My family played this over christmas, and it's fun when you try and get more inventive. After being reminded of the game, my dad put a sign on his back that said "the game", then forgot he was wearing it. He made about 4 people lose the game this way.

Am I supposed to post here when I think of the game? But wouldn't I remind everyone else of the game if I tell people here that I've lost?

But as soon as we read this, we've lost. And if we forget, we're not playing anymore
