Saying that does not imply that- on the contrary, it goes towards constituting the reverse implication- Chili's allegation being part of the evidence!

Oh but wait till you hear them sing about 'the presious blood of Jesus paying the price for their sins,' etc. etc. without end.

I've heard it, and in some cases, I've seen people live it. But even if I, even if no-one, had never seen anyone live it, it would not mean that it is not true. Pointing the finger at hypocrites changes nothing.

Considering that a typical sentence in the Gospels runs on for several verses, and that even plagiarists typically make some changes to the text they copy, you would not necessarily expect to find such pairs, especially not if you're constraining yourself to a narrow topic.

Having said that, I followed the link I gave you, and, right off the bat, found several pairs and even trios of long, identical passages concerning John the B. Took about two seconds to find 'em.

Here are some highlights:

"John....in the wilderness....preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins."
- Mark and Luke

"As it is written in....Isaiah the prophet."
- Mark and Luke (Luke apparently corrects Mark's poor grammar)

"The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight."
- Mark, Luke, Matthew, and John
John was from the netherworld (read subconscious mind) where he prepared the way for the [new] believer (conscious mind) to do a full 180 and go the other way. It is how the flesh is made strong so that the mind can will a full change of 'heart.' IOW, whereas at one time the mind was willing but the flesh is weak here now the flesh is strong but the mind is weak . . . until JBap is 'beheaded' only to return later as the son of Mary because he is the netherworld that holds the lineage of Joseph past David-past Adam and right back to God.

It has nothing to do with hypocrites but with theology. Jesus becomes the enemy in the last days when faith itself must be replaced by understanding.

The end of faith towards understanding first begins with the temple ruckuss that was done from the precinct to say that Jesus never entered the synagoge again except to consciously part from it through understanding.

In context the gifts of the Magi were faith, hope and charity that replaced power wealth and beauty that dominated the mind of Joseph while he wandered along the Pishon in the land of Havilah. Of these gifts faith and hope become liabilities that must be annihilated under the names of Judas and James so that charity can remain in Israel . . . or don't you think that faith and hope are liabilities if there is no temple in the city of God?
