As much as I appreciate what Hoffman has done and how important it is, I must admit that not having references to Origen's text are a major oversight. It renders his work near-useless for research purposes. It still reads well and, even though you are not getting the exact words of Celsus, you do get a feel for the manner and approach of his criticism, which is interesting in its own right.
