I was curious if there were any out there. I mean a non-believer who applied modern techniques of historical inquiry and became convinced by historical evidence and thus became a believer.

I have heard of plenty of amateur or armchair historians who have claimed that it was the "evidence" that demonded a verdict but my suspicion is that it really isn't Biblical history that swings the pendulum into the realm of the "saved".

Any thoughts comments, examples?
