Hi, all:

I'm brand new here, but hope to become a fixture.

I've been a skeptic all my life, but fascinated by religious beliefs of all kinds. Unfortunately, I ran afoul of what I can only term a "fundamentalist New Age religious cult" (yeah, all kinds of provocative words there, but that's what it is). It's as bad as the worst the Political Christian movement has to offer (and has strong ties and support within the "separation of church and state is a myth" crowd).

So I've become more skeptical than ever.

Hope this will be a good place to rant a bit
