I'm new here and this is my 3rd post to date. I want to gradually ease my way in, and not bring attention to my newbieishness, but at the same time I don't want to overstep any bounds or unwritten codes of conduct by voicing an unwanted opinion.

So yeah, debate.

I eagerly await your review. Please be as harsh as possible and expose every error you find. Reviews of Doherty are hard to come by.

Thanks,

Metacrock,

A "serious" debate for me is one that takes a lot of research, as opposed to just firing off quick responses, which is what I'm doing now. There's no inconsistency.

I know that my friend. I was just fun'n ya!
(Earl, you are one of the good ones).

Well I still want to debate both of them. I promise to use spell check. I just can't figure out how to get them to agree. I can't find Doherty's site, and I haven't had time to write up a proposed topic, But I would like to do it.</font>
Hey Meta!

Earl Doherty's site is here: http://www.magi.com/~oblio/jesus/home.htm, and his e-mail addresses are oblio@magi.com and EarlDoherty@hotmail.com. I would recommend getting very familiar with his material before debating him, though.

You said you'd also be interested in debating Richard Carrier. His e-mail address is rcarrier@infidels.org. You can contact him there and request to debate him. (Personally, I'd like to see you two debate the resurrection, if you're up to it.) I wouldn't recommend asking him on here because (so far as I can tell) he very rarely comes to this message board.

Hope this helps. Cheers!

Andrew

Thanks Andrew. I've established contact with Carrier. I was "warned" that he would be a nice guy. He is, now my worst fears are confirmed. I like the guy and have no need to debate him! But nevertheless, never being one to allow common sense to thwart me I will forge ahead. The Resurrection is definately on the list of possible topics.

(I appreciate your posing the email address to Carrier but I found it anyway through the sec WEb)
