Post How we know that the Bible is the word of God, and not the Koran

Hey, check out this article, for an interesting look at how some Christians think:

http://www.chick.com/information/rel.../fallacies.asp

Notice how none of these can be applied to Christians defending the Bible

I couldn't believe this. Every one of these tactics can be applied to Christian apologetics as well. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Question

Is that genuine Chick, or a parody? For a comic strip author, that guy has zero sense of irony.

OMIGAWD! That's almost as good as another one on Chick's site - The Quran cannot be the word of God because it contains a scientific error! Just as well the Bible doesn't have any scientific errors then.

And it is genuinely Chick's site. Amazing.

I just read the whole thing with morbid fascination. Boggles my mind how willfully ignorant people will be about their own cherished superstitions while they methodically lambast the competition's "false gods."

But this was the clencher:

Quote:
The average Muslim has been deceived by Muslim apologists who use such logical fallacies without regard to reason, fact or honesty. But there are many Muslims who want to be rational in their religion and thus have an open mind to rational discourse. Once they see that their arguments are based on logical fallacies, they will be open to the wonderful news that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died for our sins on the cross.
In the same way that Xns, who, once they see that their arguments are built on logical fallacies, will be open to the wonderful news that there really isn't a god and they're free to think for themselves, I suspect.

Holy mary mother of god.
