If the bible needs interpretation to be correct, then your religion isn't built on the bible, it's built on "the bible plus your interpretation".

My atheism then is built on exactly the same foundation "the bible plus my interpretation". My interpretation just has different details.

Who said it was my religion? You assume to much. The topic was asking for contradictions in the bible. The point about god saying that they would die after eating the fruit came up several times. I correctly pointed out that this was infact not a contradiction. He said they would "surely die" and they did, no interpretation needed.

See Genesis 2:17, then look at Genesis 5:5. Learn to read.

Even porn stars must need scripts of some description. And get the loins right!

It's clear the serpent was right, and God was wrong because when they did eat of it they didn't die. Your scriptures point this out. The lame excuse that a fundie will come up though is that Adam didn't die a physical death on that day, but a spiritual death.

But they DID die! What part of "and then he died" don't you understand?

The verse says "for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." [emphasis added]

Adam did not die the day he ate it.

If a day means something other than a day, perhaps eat means something other than eat, or God means something other than God.

Maybe a little too obvious, but the simple question of Jesus' grandfather is always a good conversation starter (if you want to see smoke come out of a thumper's ears).

Maternal or paternal grandfather?
